Felix Schauwecker

Born in 1998, Felix Schauwecker is a self-taught artist living and working in Cologne, Germany. He has been active in creating and exhibiting his work regularly since 2023 after finishing his entrepreneurial studies in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Felix’s artistic practice is driven by a deep fascination with the energy, movement, and unpredictability of natural elements. Water, rocks, forests, and the sky serve as visual references and inspiration for imaginative worlds that exist between reality and abstraction. His work explores the fragile balance between chaos and harmony, structure and coincidence, inviting viewers to embrace the beauty of the unforeseen and the uncontrollable.

Working exclusively in sculptural and three-dimensional form, Felix primarily uses polystyrene as his material of choice. He is particularly drawn to the tension between its lifeless, synthetic nature and the organic, almost living forms that emerge through his process. Through dynamic structures, physical presence, and contrasting color compositions, his works appear to be in constant motion — as if caught in a moment of transformation.

By challenging the viewer’s perception of material, form, and vitality, Felix’s sculptures encourage curiosity and imagination. They invite the audience to question what is natural and what is artificial, what is controlled and what is accidental — and where these boundaries begin to dissolve.

Since 2023, Felix has regularly participated in exhibitions in Cologne, across Germany (Berlin/Frankfurt), as well as internationally (Milan, Italy).
